What's CADS?

Center of Applied Data Science (CADS) AI is a Skills Intelligence Platform (SaaS) that helps businesses and HR departments operate with a skills-first mindset. The platform offers tools for skills assessment, learning, and mobility, enabling organisations to make data-driven decisions to hire, manage, and upskill talent. My Role

I designed 13+ modules of the platform ranging from Learning Paths, Talent profiles and portfolio, Opportunities, Assessments, Workforce management, HRIS, Analytics, Q&A, Data Driven Org, Dashboards, Internal Surveys and more.

Talent profile are dynamic individual profiles that have portfolios designed to make individuals job-ready. Beyond standard skills and experience summaries, they integrate a comprehensive portfolio and highlight specific CADS Smart Skills derived directly from the user's learning profile.

Company profile acts as the central digital hub for the organization. The platform provides Admin and HR teams with powerful tools, including data analytics, and core management functionalities for employees, departments, and Learning Management System (LMS) for internal teams.

Org Chart

The CADS Organizational Chart Tool is a dynamic, centralized platform offering a comprehensive view of the entire organization. Beyond standard charting, it allows HR and teams to see individual roles, profiles, and skills. Crucially, it provides automatic, intelligent recommendations for filling vacant positions and identifying internal talent for mobility within the organization.

Community

Many learners and teams seek advice and help via the CADS community. This is a central hub for CADS modules related support and comprehensive community-driven assistance for all the internal and external members.

Subscriptions

To support the platform's continuous expansion, I collaborated with the Data and Growth Teams to overhaul our pricing model. I led the execution of A/B tests and iterative design variations, ensuring the new model was optimized for both retaining existing enterprise subscriptions and maximizing the conversion rate of basic-tier customers.

Key Takeaways & Learning

My three years at CADS, I served as the sole Product Designer for platform. My role involved close, cross-functional collaboration with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to navigate highly intricate processes, data visualization challenges, and diversified product modules. Lacking initial domain expertise, I quickly became proficient in HRIS and LMS by driving deep user research and engaging in countless technical discussions. This experience was instrumental in developing my ability to synthesize complex data analytics into simplified and scalable designs, requiring an intense focus and many late nights dedicated to problem-solving and domain mastery.
